    Why timing matters

Some nutrients share the same route into the body. Taken together, they compete and you absorb less of each. Spacing them a couple of hours apart fixes most clashes.

    Fat-soluble vitamins

Vitamins A, D, E and K, omega-3 and turmeric absorb best with a meal that contains some fat. Taking them on an empty stomach wastes much of the dose.

    On medication?

Supplements can change how some medicines work. Ask your pharmacist or GP before adding anything new, especially if you take thyroid, blood pressure or blood-thinning medicine.

This tool gives general guidance on timing and common interactions. It isn't medical advice and doesn't cover every supplement or medicine. Always follow the label and any advice from your GP or pharmacist.
